Match Report
Scotch College 5ths vs  Wesley College
On: Saturday, 04 May 2019
Venue: Away

Scotch 5ths began their season with some exciting saves in the opening minutes by Josh Kuper. Continuing pressure from Wesley resulted in a goal for the opposition in the 16th minute. Two minutes later and Campbell McCaulley was able to equalise for Scotch. Wesley struck back quickly and seemed to have an answer for every play Scotch threw at them. Strong contesting in Scotch’s defensive and midfield lines led to more opportunities up front and within a frantic three minutes of play McCaulley had scored twice more and Wesley had scored once.

Wesley came out in the second half with renewed intent and plenty of fresh legs and started to run away in the score thanks to a couple of late goals. Campbell McCaulley was once again able to slot one past the Wesley GK, taking his goal tally for the day to an impressive four, but this wasn’t enough to prevent Wesley from walking away with the win 4-6.
