Scotch College Year 9A vs  Christ Church Grammar School
On: Friday, 08 Mar 2019
Venue: Away

CCGS batted first and Rory King and Julius Kain placed great pressure on the CCGS batsmen. Rory claimed a wicket on the last ball of his first and second overs, with Alex Russell-Weisz taking two sharp catches at point. Julius then claimed a wicket in the final over of his spell to have CCGS 3 for 13 after eight overs. CCGS then worked hard to build a competitive total of 109 from their 30 overs with the highlight being some lofty hitting in the last over. Alex also bowled well and claimed 2 for 5 from his three overs.

After losing an early wicket Codi Cook and Alex looked solid at the crease. When Alex was dismissed Roy King joined Codi and together they put on 40 for the third wicket. Codi was out after drinks for well compiled 19. Toby Evans joined Rory and Scotch were in a strong position with four overs to go. As the pressure built, Toby (14) was run out and Rory was stumped after making a very good 38. Benji Melville and Julius came together with three overs to go and together they got Scotch across the line with three balls to spare. Julius made 15 not out from 10 balls, striking a four through cover point to win the game.
