Match Report
Scotch College 2nd XI vs  Wesley College
On: Saturday, 14 Mar 2020
Venue: Away

Our best batting performance of the season virtually ensured our victory against an enthusiastic Wesley line up. We posted a formidable total of 294.

Jack Kapinkoff came in at number 4 and made a stylish 118, which included a massive 42 singles. It was Jack’s highest ever score.

He was well supported by Ned Gaffey with 58, and Ethan Frankel with 57. Chris Michael came in late to smash 16 off 7 balls.

Wesley batted very soundly to make 237.

Our bowlers were led by Off-spinner Adam Barwood who took 4/48 from his ten overs. Pace bowler Max Bailey continued his consistent form with 2/27 from 10 overs. Overall our spinners completed 33 of our 50 overs.

Very pleasing was our fielding where we took most of our chances. Richard Walton completed 2 catches. Chris Michael was outstanding in the outfield and chased down numerous balls headed to the boundary.

We have been working on the players being more diligent in their preparation and off-field team support.

I was very pleased with this on Saturday.
