Match Report
Scotch College 1sts vs  Hale School, Perth
On: Saturday, 15 Feb 2020
Venue: Away

Scotch College played a solid defensive game against Hale School led by fine center-back performances by Gianni Kain and others. We started strongly and Campbell McAullay made the most of his opportunities in the first quarter to score 3 goals. The second quarter was our best quarter as we held Hale scoreless and both Campbell McAullay and Will Marshall scored 2 goals each. At half time the score was 9-3 for Scotch. In the third quarter, we lost our focus and control of the game and Hale outscored us 3-1. Both Campbell McAullay and Julian Kyriakou were both out on three majors in the third quarter, so our other leaders had to stand up in the final quarter. Gianni Kain showed great leadership organising the players in defence and also scored a good goal. Year 9 student, Seb Houston, also scored a fine counter-attack goal in his Scotch 1sts debut. It was a good defensive game and a pleasing result against an up and coming Hale team.
