Match Report
Scotch College Year 9A vs  Trinity College
On: Friday, 07 Feb 2020
Venue: at Home

Scotch batted first and Joshua Griffin and Joshua Holborn got the team off to a great start. They looked to score and their techniques were very good. Unfortunately, Joshua Holborn missed a ball that kept a bit low to be dismissed for 16. Joshua Griffin continued to play very well and retired after making a fantastic 50. Hayden Henschel also played lovely innings and was dismissed for 36 as he attempted to lift the run rate. Charles McCarthy (29 not out) finished the innings off well with Hugh Chapman and Scotch posted a competitive total of 3 for 158.

Trinity batted well in the opening overs giving few opportunities. Some steady overs from several Scotch saw the run rate rise and the pressure was placed on the batting team. Felix Japp and Will Parker were both rewarded with wickets in the second half of the innings. Hayden did a great job as captain and he was well supported in the field. Scotch restricted Trinity to 3 for 128 from their 30 overs.
